Esther Agbarakwe
Founder and Director

Esther Agbarakwe is currently serving as an Atlas Corps Fellow with Populational Action International in Washington DC. She has over eight years of experience working on sexuality and environmental issues. She is a young climate change policy advisor and trainer with extensive experience in creating, facilitating and managing youth-led projects. After working and volunteering as a Peer Health Educator from 2004-2008, in 2009, she co-founded the Nigerian Youth Climate Coalition, the biggest youth climate movement in Nigeria and serves as a technical Advisor to the African Youth Initiative on Climate Change (AYICC).

She was selected as 'Women Deliver 100 Young Leaders' for her strong interest in women’s reproductive health issues and was invited to attend the "Women Deliver" Global Conference in DC in June 2010.

Esther has been privileged to represent Nigeria and Africa at over 13 global governance meetings on sustainable development as well as previous role as African coordinator of UN Commission on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) Youth and Children Major Group. Esther represented African youths at United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties (COP 15, COP17), African Development Forum (ADF) where she delivered the Youth Openining statements

Olumide Idowu

As a youth and the passion for sustainable development, Olumide organized youth club meetings at home during which members discussed youth related issues. As a result of passion for change  he is providing support and training for young people in several areas including Climate, HIV/AIDS, Peer Pressure, Self Confidence and United Nations Millennium Development Goals through the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). These initiatives runs youth-friendly and gender sensitive activities in Abuja and provides a platform for healthily interaction and counseling for young people. He has inspire the implementing several projects which include, Computer Literacy Project, The Role of Youth in Community Development, Answer Solution and Knowledge (ASK) around HIV/AIDS, Young Entrepreneurship (YES), Switch ICT Project and project on environmental issues (Climate Change). These projects have collectively reached more than 1,500 young Nigerians. I was made an ambassador for Microsoft Campaign (MISSPIN).

 
Ajiroba Oladipupo Daniel

Ajiroba Oladipupo is a Special Assistant with the office of Special Adviser on MDGs to Ogun State Government; an emerging young leader, young environmentalist and Sustainable development Consultant. I am currently a Masters Student, studying Natural Resources Conservation at the prestigious University of Lagos, in Lagos, Nigeria.

Studied Botany for his Bachelors’ degree and graduated in 2009 and have worked actively in the environmental field for over four years. His first environmental field experience was in oil/gas during his industrial training at Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in 2007.  In recognition of his service to humanity, he is s recipient of few awards for his contributions in helping young people and my various involvements in youth initiatives such as Peace Ambassadors Award by Center for Peace Building and Disaster Relief, outstanding service by Nigerian Environmental Study/Action Team, Chairman’s award by National Youth Service Corp and Nigerian Youth Leadership Award by LEAP Africa.
 
Esther Eshiet, Gender Coordinator

Esther Eshiet is a Sexual & Reproductive health /Rights Expert with special interest in advocacy for economic rights and policy. With over 7 years work experience which spans through organizations such as Girls’ Power Initiative (GPI) Youth Action for Change(YAC), Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN) and the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDs (GYCA)Where she served as National and Regional Focal point for West Africa in 2007 and 2008.During her tenure as GYCA Regional Focal point, she passionately led 12 West Africa National Focal points.
She holds a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from University of Calabar and alumni of Girl Power Initiative (a 3 year sexuality and leadership educational programme). As a passionate Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Expert, she has volunteered on numerous local and international projects ranging from being the Lead -author of the UNGASS National Youth Shadow Report presented the UN General Assembly Special Session on HIV/AIDS ,2008 and a Steering Committee Member of the UNAIDS #CrowdOutAIDs Project, 2011-2012. Esther is a 2010 Fellow of Moremi Initiative, Founder -Afterschool Peer Mentoring Project and in October 2011 joined The Bridge Leadership Foundation as Pioneer Programmes Manager.

I want to demonstrate my interest in NYCC as the President of Ogoni Youth Advancement Network(OYAN)of Ogoniland,Rivers State,Nigeria who's environment, the UNEP report said will take 30 years to repair, the damage caused by oil spills and Gas flares.
