The Nigeria Youth Climate Coalition (NYCC) is a network of young people that uses innovative ways to amplify youth voices on climate change. With this robust platform, youth led organizations working on Climate Change and other sustainable development issues interact and learn from each other,  giving a united voice to young people’s response to climate Change and sustainable development in Nigeria.

NYCC brings together (across states) organizations with common interest to contribute to sustainable national development. The organization also makes for meaningful youth engagement in local and national climate policies in Nigeria, while inspiring and stimulating the growth of the culture of professionalism among young people working for sustainable environmental balance.

At the grassroot level we give skills and support to young people who want to see climate action in their local areas and empower them to be a catalyst in their community. Internationally we are actively part of the growing International Youth Climate Movement. Every year we send a Nigeria Youth Delegation to the United Nations Climate Change Talks to learn and skillshare.

Vision: We envision a Nigeria where carbon emissions are reduced and education promotes an understanding of the issues of climate change and sustainability in young people, equipping them with the knowledge to apply this in their daily lives.

Mission
To initiate the processes that promotes and engages youth on climate change education, adaptation and mitigation as a means of combating effects of climate change  and other environmental issues in Nigeria
